Dr. Geoff Ely keeps QEX systems running reliably and on-time, as well as providing expert advice on applying statistical methods to time-series of historical and real-time financial data.

Geoff trained in geophysics and computational science, and while a postdoc at the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility, programmed the world’s largest supercomputers to simulate earthquakes.  He later moved into consulting and software development for tech start-ups, working in the fields of seismology, acoustics, cartography, and most recently finance.

 Geoff is fluent in statistics, numerical methods, signal analysis, programming languages and algorithms, with experience building databases, mobiles apps, back-end APIs, and automations.

A Swiftie by association (two daughters), when out having fun, you may find Geoff on a forest trail, in a boat, coaching basketball, or playing lacrosse.
